June 10, 2020--At the Yuma Police Department and the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, officials say agency policies prohibit the use of excessive or unnecessary force by its officers.
Data sharing, tech advances aid YCSO
January 2, 2020--Looking back on 2019, Yuma County Sheriff Leon Wilmot said that much has happened, both inside the jail and out over the past year. For starters, he said that the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office was selected as one of six pilot project locations nationally to share and receive intelligence with the Department of Homeland Security, as well as conduct joint enforcement efforts regarding both local and transnational crime.
